How to access student Google Classrooms
Students are expected to complete the work posted by their teachers, if able. If a student is unable to complete, they should contact their building administrators and/or superintendent, so that we may assist them.
Elementary Format Username Email Format: graduation year, last name, first initial @youghsd.net i.e. 20sardonj@youghsd.net
Password Format: first name initial, last name initial, student ID number (same as lunch number) i.e. js059425
Middle/High School FormatUsername Email Format: graduation year, last name, first initial @youghsd.net i.e. 20sardonj@youghsd.net
Password Format: three random characters, student ID number (same as lunch number) i.e. lqr059425
High School and middle school students should have their passwords. If they do not, they may contact their building principals to obtain that information.
Message from the Superintendent
Dear Yough Parent/Guardian/Student:
The Yough School District will be offering learning opportunities for students in an online learning environment. The purpose of this learning is for planned instruction and/or review and enrichment materials, as well as other components of innovative learning. Assignments and virtual online instruction will begin on April 3, 2020.
We are excited to be able to provide this opportunity. This is an unprecedented time in our world of education, and for many people personally. As a district, we understand this and empathize with our community. Our learning will be done when students are able to complete, understanding that families may have limits on internet, devices, or other issues.
There is no requirement that students complete during their scheduled class period or time, but an understanding they will be completed when able during the day. We are taking attendance of student participation, in order to assess families that aren't attending and may need additional assistance. If for some reason you are unable to complete work, we ask that you contact, either myself or the building principal, so that we may assist you during this time.
Thank you for your time, understanding and patience during this process of online learning. Our staff has worked diligently to provide you with a platform that takes into consideration all of the above information. A special recognition to our administrators and staff that have worked countless hours on this project.

Teachers in the district will have office hours. The purpose of these hours are for specific questions with regard to assignments that have been posted for education and learning. The hours are not for socialization with staff. Those hours are listed below:
Primary K-2 8:30 am -10:30 am
Intermediate 3-4 10:30 am -12:30 pm
Elementary Specialist/Title 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
Instructional Aides 9:00 -12:00 pm/1:00 -3:00 pm
Middle School 5-6 10:00 am -12:00 pm
Middle School 7-8 12:00 pm-2:00 pm
Middle School Specialists/Title 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
High School ELA/Social Studies 9:00 am – 11:00 am
High School Foreign Language/Art 9:00 am-11:00 am
High School Chorus/Band/Instrument 9:00-am – 11:00am
High School Math/Science/Computers 11:00 am -1:00 pm
High School Technology/PE/Health 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Other hours by appointment at the discretion of the teacher
For confidentiality reasons, office hours for guidance counselors, nurses, nurses’ aides and special education teachers will be set up through request by student email and/or parent request.
